“The most helpful part, for me, about My Interview Practice was being able to interview and have feedback from someone which had faster turnaround time and was able to meet the requirement of having my interview critiqued. I would suggest this to anyone looking to sharpen their interviewing skills, as well as colleges or schools as part of their career development curriculum.”
“Nursing interviews are tough because you don’t know where the conversation will go. You can either be asked behavioral questions about your general experience, or you can be asked very technical questions about nursing. What I liked about using this tool is that it gave you different interview questions in both scenarios. After taking 3-4 practice interviews, I felt so much better. Love it!”

The Interview Simulator is a tool that we developed to accurately replicate an actual interview setting. Once you select the particular position and type of interview that you want to take, the Interview Simulator will formulate an interview script for you. As you are progressing through the interview, questions appear on the screen with a set amount of time that you must respond in. For example, if the first question is, “Tell me about yourself” – that question will appear on the screen and give you 10 seconds to read it. Then the webcam and microphone will automatically start recording.
This style of mock interview applies some pressure to replicate what an actual interview would feel like. Once you’re finished with an interview, a recording is shared with you privately on your Dashboard so you can see how you did. At that time you can share your recorded responses with others to receive feedback.
Interviewing can be stressful, especially if you don’t have much experience. Your confidence is a huge indicator of how well you will do on your interview. The best way to build your confidence interviewing is to practice in a realistic and safe environment.
Our Interview Simulator tool offers exactly that! The tool allows you to practice freely and build your confidence at your own pace. You can do this by taking a few interviews with different question sets that apply the pressure of what an actual interview would feel like. Each time you complete an interview, a recording is provided to you privately. You can then review your recorded responses and determine areas of improvement without the added pressure of judgement from others. Then if you’re ready to share your videos you can do so with a small audience to get their feedback on how you did. In this way the tool can help you through the lifecycle of practicing for interviews, from gaining your confidence to getting feedback on how to improve.
Statistics show that the average person will remain in the same job for about 4 years. In this time, chances are you have not practiced interviewing and you will want to brush up your skills.
That’s exactly how our tool can help you! You can take a few practice interviews where you will be given the latest handpicked questions that are relevant to your industry. Each interview that you take will be unique with different question sets. After taking some interviews in this manner, you will have a better idea of how prepared you are for that upcoming interview. If you’d like, you can then share your recorded responses with your network to get their feedback on how you did.
Conducting a mock interview in person is a great way to prepare, however, it may not be a viable option for a number of reasons. You may not know someone that is able to interview you, and hiring an interview coach or other professional is very expensive. If you did find someone that you can practice with, you will need to research questions. However, if you know the questions beforehand it would greatly diminish the impact of the practice because you know what to expect.
This tool makes the entire process so much easier. It eliminates the need for researching questions as we provide very meaningful questions for you. It eliminates the back and forth of scheduling a mock interview. You take the practice interviews at your own pace, from any computer. Our tool is completely web based, so you don’t have to download anything. And when you’re ready to share the interview, the person that provides the feedback can get to it on their own time as well.
We have a team of professionals ranging from experts in each industry, to recruiters and human resource staff, that have curated our database of over 5,000 questions. We continue to add and update these questions on a regular basis to ensure you have the latest and most relevant questions in each industry.
Yes - we recently added the ability to create your own interview questions in the Interview Simulator. Simply visit the Custom Interview page to create your own interview.
Once you create a custom interview you have two options. You can either take the interview yourself or you can assign the interview to others. When assigning the interview to someone else, you can even select the number of attempts that are given to take the interview.
You have a number of options for the type of interview you can take:
Industry/Position - select the position that you want to practice for. Currently, we have 60 different job positions that span over 12 industries.
Behavioral/Technical- In a Behavioral Interview, you will be asked questions about how you handled situations in the past. This is similar to what you would expect in an HR Screening. In a Technical Interview, you will be asked questions about your qualifications for that particular position. This is what you can expect from an interview with your Hiring Manager.
Experience Level - select how much experience you have in your particular field. This can be anywhere from an Internship level all the way to a Senior Management level.
Duration - select the duration of the interview. This can range from 20 mins to 50 mins and will determine the total number of questions asked.
Based on all of these selections, our algorithm will develop an interview script of what questions should be asked.
Once you complete an interview, a recording is provided to you privately on your Dashboard. You can then share these interview recordings with others by entering their email address. The system will automatically send that person an email letting them know that feedback was requested.
If the person providing feedback does not already have an account with us, they will need to create an account upon entering the site. This is completely FREE and they do not need Premium Membership to view or provide feedback on interview recordings.
Once the user is logged in, they will have access to the interview you shared with them on their Reviews page. They can provide detailed feedback for the overall interview and each specific question.
Once feedback is provided, you will be notified via email. The feedback will be listed on your Dashboard, allowing you to get a better sense of how your responses were perceived.
The reason interviews are so stressful is because you don’t know which questions you will be asked. You have to be prepared to answer anything that comes your way. If you researched questions and then tried to interview yourself it wouldn’t be an accurate measure of how you would do in the real interview.
Our database of over 5,000 questions has been carefully curated by experts so you don’t have to spend hours searching for questions online. The Interview Simulator algorithm will ask you these questions in a way that mimics a real interview. The best part is that each time you take an interview, you will have a new set of questions to respond to.
